Birthday buddies

Birthday Buddies is a free program on the Georgetown Divide that distributes “A Birthday in a Bag” to children of low-income families between the ages of 1 and 9. Birthday Buddies was founded in August 2007 by a local mother and her family. They believe that supporting a celebration of a child’s birthday promotes nurturing, stable and loving family environments.

The GED Test Preparation program provides students with ongoing test preparation and assessment to help successfully pass the GED battery of tests. Our classes provide an interactive, self-paced learning environment in an instructional setting with highly trained and caring teachers. Students receive instruction with individually designed lessons that continually move students forward in their quest to obtain the certificate that is equivalent to a high school diploma.
